Rollei introduces a new compact digital camera, the Rollei dt6 Tribute. The new Rollei dt6 Tribute camera features a 6.36 Megapixels 1/2.5 inch CCD image sensor, 2.5 inch TFT color monitor, 4.8x optical zoom lens and 8x digital zoom. The Rollei dt6 compact digital camera will be available August 2006 and has a consumer price of €279, including VAT. The housing of the Rollei dt 6 Tribute is compact and has a stylish mat, black design. The focal length of the optical zoom is f/3.3 - f/4.9 28 - 135mm (equivalent of 35 mm format camera) and can be expanded with 8x digital zoom. The high performance and compact 6.36 Megapixels Rollei dt6 also offers video and voice recording via a built-in speaker and microphone.

Combined with digital zoom the new Rollei dt6 Tribute offers a total of 38x zoom. Offering a 6.36 Megapixel CCD image sensor the Rollei dt6 digital camera provides you with an optimum basis for creative editing and photorealistic printing. Composing your favorite moment is where it all starts. The 4.8x f/3.3 - f/4.9 optical zoom lens with a focal length of 28 - 135 mm and the powerful 8x digital zoom will let the amateur or entry-level photographer move in real close or capture the favorite portrait. Capture moments can be viewed on the 2.5 inch large format LCD display.

The compact and stylish 6 Megapixel Rollei dt6 Tribute camera offers a wide variety of camera settings. Starting with the inbuilt flash (Auto, Forced, Off, Red-eye reduction, Slow sync) to the automatic white balance with the additional manual daylight, cloudy, tungsten and fluorescent settings the Rollei dt6 features more than the average beginning photographer will need. Looking at the metering settings the Rollei dt Tribute provides multizone evaluation, center weighted and spot metering, and whenever compensation is needed ±2.0 EV in 1/3 increments also belong to the features. To transfer the recorder photos and video clips to your computer, notebook or TV set, the Rollei dt6 camera offers a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface and a video out.
