The Nikon S5100 is a slim and stylish camera with 12.2 megapixels, which gives you high performance in any situation with its easy-to-use functions. Even at night, when images can be more difficult to capture, you can rely on getting clear, crisp pictures every time with lens-shift type VR (Vibration Reduction), enhanced Motion Detection, and a ground-breaking flash control system. The Nikon S5100 will detect if you are holding the camera, rather than using a tripod, and will automatically select the most appropriate settings to reduce image blur and make sure you capture beautiful pictures every time.

With improved response performance from the Expeed 2 processing system you will never miss that perfect shot, even if your subject is moving. And if you want to capture more of the moment, then a dedicated video button allows you to quickly and easily record video in 720p HD quality. Although the Nikon Coolpix S5100 incorporates a 5x zoom NIKKOR lens starting at wide-angle 28mm, the sporty, metal, rounded body design is only 21.6 mm (0.9-inch) thick so it will easily fit in a bag or pocket.
