The SanDisk Sansa series seems to have appeared out of nothing, yet set the world on fire and not without success; SanDisk now occupy the second spot on the American market. The Sansa e200 series is SanDisk's compact MP3 player line, and is ready to battle it out with, among others, the iPod. Panasonic today introduced the new Panasonic HDTV Photo Player DMW-SDP1 that allows users to view photos taken by a LUMIX or other SD-enabled digital camera, in High Definition quality on a large screen TV. Through simply connecting the Panasonic SDP1 (using supplied HD component cable) to a High Definition TV, such as a Panasonic VIERA, and inserting their SD/SDHC memory card into the slot, users can view their photos in 1080i high definition quality. Another Photokina announcement from Epson; Epson unveils the Epson P-2000 multimedia storage viewer, the successor to the Epson Photo PC P-1000 photo viewer. The Epson P-2000 enables consumers to professional photographers to save their photos from their digital camera memory card and view them on the 3.8 inch Photo Fine display wherever they are. The Epson P-2000 features the amazing Photo Fine viewer, a low temperature polysilicon TFT technology that offers a resolution of 212 pixels per inch (ppi) and vibrant colours for sharp and crystal-clear picture quality. Thanks to the Photo Fine display, digital photographs will come to life on screen. In addition to the quality photo viewing capabilities, the Epson P-2000 provides support for digital camera and camcorder movies and music files. It features a 40 GB hard disk drive, so it can double up as a portable storage unit for any PC or Mac files. The Epson P-2000 is around twice as fast as its predecessor when viewing photos and has a battery life of up to three hours.
